Goal #2: Zero hunger in the world relies on getting food to remote areas that have zero infrastructure. The easiest way to do this is by growing the food in these areas to avoid transportation costs. Zero hunger relates to land issues in the sense of ensuring that fertile farmland is properly used and that farm boundaries are maintained. By having an effective land administration system that ensures that farmers land has value and is protected, it brings more incentive to people to farmland in remote areas that are in need of food. By having local produce and local value, it helps to ensure that more people are fed.

Goal #6: Clean water and sanitation is a major issue that relates to land administration. Natural water sources in lots of countries are sparse and often overused. All water sources need to be properly mapped and given strict sanctions as to how their used and maintained. An effective land administration system would help to avoid pollution and ensure that natural water sources are distributed evenly to the population. By protecting natural water sources, countries will be able to maximize the amount of people that have access to fresh water.

Goal #9: By minimizing land issues, poor countries are more likely to invest in infrastructure to increase living condition standards. Weak boundaries and uncertainty in land laws can devalue land. With a proper land administration system, the value of land increases. This brings an added incentive to the building of important infrastructure. Having a good land administration system also ensures that land is divided evenly for different utilities such as sanitation, electricity and roads.
